NORTH SEA TRAIL DAY
The North Sea Trail Day was organised 3 September 2006. Events took place in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, England and Scotland, including 24 regional authorities as organisers in their local area.
This is the second North Sea Trail Day in history that includes the whole North Sea area. Behind the North Sea Trail Day is the great and inspiring partnership within the NAVE Nortrail project, an initiative partly funded by EU Interreg III b North Sea programme.
It is our hope that the North Sea Trail Day will be come an yearly event, highlighting the very best of the North Sea's beautiful coastline. Inviting people to walk in the footprints of famous explorers capture the view from towering cliffs and learn how the North Sea has shaped the landscape and lives of people beside it for generations. The North Sea Trail is more than just a path...its walking the North Sea costal history.
The next North Sea Trail Day will be the first Saturday/Sunday in September 2007. Till then, enjoy reading the attached report from the many interesting activities for this years North Sea Trail Day!
