Official opening of the "Værlandet" North Sea Trail by the Norwegian Minister of Environment

Thursday 4th November 2004 the Norwegian Minister of Environment, Mr. Knut Arild Hareide, participated at the official opening of the North Sea Trail part at Værlandet, in Sogn og Fjordane.
Nearly half of the approx 250 inhabitants at the island Værlandet, at the very western part of Sogn og Fjordane, were present when the Norwegian Minsiter of Environment, Knut Arild Hareide, conducted the official opening of the local North Sea Trail by cuting the symbolic string, that were tied up between two small trees, making an entrance to the trail.
Children were singing, local and regional officials were giving their speaks and then, after the opening ceremony, everyone walked the 2,5 kilometer long trail.
