The NAVE Nortrail project including the Nortrail Video project are now been approved by the Interreg North Sea Programme Secretariat in Viborg.

The Nortrail DVD has now been mailed to all the project partners.

Project director Allan Garvie has prepared a presentation of the achievements in the NAVE Nortrail project to be published in the Scottish Planner magazine.

An exhibition of Alex Wilson’s stunning photographs of the North York Moors is being held at the Sutton Bank National Park Centre from 5 to 20 February 2005.

If you are looking to work off the excesses of the Christmas holiday, in body or in spirit, Moors, Dales, Nabs and Wykes – Rambling around the Cleveland Way by Alex Wilson has just been published by the North York Moors National Park Authority with funding from the Countryside Agency and the EU.

The North Sea has played a vital role throughout the history of East Lothian, and it continues to do so for many of the residents who live by its shores as well as the many visitors who come to walk the magnificent coastline. Activities such as appreciating the natural and cultural heritage, and visiting our towns and villages are extremely popular in East Lothian.

Thursday 4th November 2004 the Norwegian Minister of Environment, Mr. Knut Arild Hareide, participated at the official opening of the North Sea Trail part at Værlandet, in Sogn og Fjordane.

The basic idea of the North Sea Trail is to regenerate a network of landscapes and pathways, linking footpaths and sites in recreational areas of the coastal counties encompassing the North Sea.
